I am Myounghee Jo, originally from Korea, an independent Art Director and Graphic Designer, based in Vienna after 10 years of experience in London.
With a wealth of experience working within the graphic design, fashion and photography industry, I joined the design environment as a graphic designer in 2009 and have continued to develop my technical skills for web and print to where I now design to an advanced level.
My career started at a professional online trend analysis company working on reports for major fashion companies and campaigns for leading design stores in Korea. I then moved on to graphic design and photo editing for the worlds leading image library, Image Source Ltd. where I designed multi part composite, beauty and editorial images and design for many marketing campaigns. I progressed to a junior graphic designer and gained promotion to independent in-house designer covering marketing, creative and IT department before launching my business to embark on a freelance career.
My freelance works have included general Graphic Design for web and print both, Creative Artwork such as hand-made craft and interactive digital design and Photo Editing from general retouching to high-end retouching. After a year of many interesting projects in various design industry, I got a chance to work as a creative art worker in DHL Production department of Tag Worldwide, a global brand services agency.
Since December 2015 I’ve been living in Vienna, the centre of Europe and ever growing city. And here in Vienna, I am looking for another great creative journey and the one which I can execute all my knowledge and skill I’ve gained all these years with full of passion and energy.
“Love makes people feel alive.”
I love design and being a designer.
It fulfils my eagerness to wander
in search of my surroundings and
be inspired by every building
block in a project.
I am passionate about working
and observing ideas taking shape.
These traits allow me to
concentrate on various design
projects all day, everyday.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is
a mystery, but today is a gift. That
is why we call it the ‘Present’.”
The Future cannot exist without
the present. I am constantly
innovating myself in the hope
that I will be a part in the
endeavours for a more informed
world and a better future.
This is my philosophy.
“To be tactile invites you to
step into a new dimension.”
I use the tools of my trade to
translate various works into a
tangible space. I promise a direct
encounter of this experience for
not only my audience but also myself.
Graduating from the mere surface
to the supremely complex, I explore
an individual or a business’s
thoughts, concepts and philosophies
to create my designs.
“Highly influenced by the cultural context to live.”
My areas of work include
the contemporary arts,
cultural issues and initiatives,
the environment, trends and
fashion. I am also in the area
of actively creating self-initiated
